With Bridgerton Season 4 about to land on Netflix (28 Jan, people), here’s a home in the chichi market town of Richmond that looks like it could have had a starring role. Tucked away in the private parkland of Brough Park, this Grade I-listed Georgian home delivers serious Regency romance – sweeping staircases, sky-high ceilings and views across manicured lawns. At any moment, you expect Benedict in breeches with his shirt unbuttoned to his navel to appear (pass me the smelling salts). If only…

First impressions? Wow. Just, wow. You enter into a truly fabulous hall where ornate cornicing, statement mouldings and an elegant floating staircase immediately set the tone.&nbsp;



Light pours in from huge windows, and the proportions are frankly huge. HUGE. However, there are some nice, small touches, such as a beautifully designed wine storage nook for those Diamond of the Season soirées and just you&#8217;re average Thursday night in front of the telly.

Glide up that staircase (ballgown optional), and the landing opens out beneath large arched windows (dazzle in all that natural daylight). Off here sits the kitchen – vast, sociable and ready for entertaining. High-end integrated appliances, a large freestanding oven and space for a proper 12-seater dining table make this the heart of the home. There’s also a cleverly concealed utility cupboard to keep the modern bits neatly out of sight.

The sitting room is a drop-dead show-stopper. Floor-to-ceiling sash windows – with traditional shutters – frame parkland views, while the beautiful open fire with stunning marble mantel adds to the grandeur. There is plenty of space for oversized sofas, bookshelves and languid lounging – while binge-watching Bridgerton, obv.

There are three generous double bedrooms, starting with the master suite that mirrors those full-height windows and views. Room for a super-king, wardrobes and more, plus a stylish en-suite, centred around a roll-top bath.

There is also a walk-in shower (one must have options), twin sinks and ample storage. Ooh, how we covet this bathroom.

The two further bedrooms boast charming circular windows and yet more space. A stylish family bathroom (smaller than the ensuite, this house clearly has its priorities right!) completes the picture, with a walk-in shower and another roll-top bath.
