<p>As a bright eyed and bushy tailed beauty assistant there was a time when I planned entire foreign holiday itineraries around a trip to Sephora. Those were the days when you had to hop on the Eurostar or book a red eye to NY to go on a supermarket sweep style beauty haul, breathless with basket in hand as you spritzed, swatched and smooshed beauty products that weren’t available in the UK. I’d show off my glossy new wares to an eager audience of peers when I landed back home and we’d pass a single ‘About That Shine’ lipstick around club bathrooms (post-Covid, we would never).&nbsp;</p>



<p>Fast forward to 2025 and Sephora’s coveted black and white striped bags can be spied on great British high streets up and down the land, with the brand&#8217;s only Yorkshire store opening in <a href="https://meadowhall.co.uk/eatdrinkshop/sephora">Meadowhall Shopping Centre</a> in Sheffield earlier this year. </p>

<p>Make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic is the Kardashians’ go-to beauty guy and hosts Sephora’s international make-up masterclasses – Mario is a Youtube tutorial OG so rest assured you’re in the best hands if you follow one. The same goes for his make-up, which launched at Sephora five years ago with a focus on eyes.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Since then the range has gone from strength to strength with complexion enhancers being a real speciality. Given that lightly flushed cheeks are&nbsp;<em>en vogue</em>for AW26 (just see Erdem), a swipe of this ultra-fine blusher works wonders to enliven winter skin. It’s also made with a clever polymer to boost its longevity – a little goes a long way and you won’t need to reapply it, so it’s a real make-up bag workhorse.</p>

<p>Cosmetic dermatologist Dr Sam Bunting launched onto the skincare scene seven years ago and boy are we glad she did – her no-nonsense range is as polished and whip-smart as she is. There’s no roses picked at dawn or overinflated claims, just results, a routine that’s easy to stick to or tweak should you need and top-notch advice (follow her on Instagram @DrSamBunting for regular beauty ‘tea’ and mythbusting).&nbsp;</p>



<p>She’s gone from packing up orders herself to launching her brand exclusively at Sephora last year, and if I was hard pushed to pick a single product, it’d be Flawless Brightly. It’s a daily godsend if, like me, you’re looking to calm rosacea-induced redness and bumps (10% azelaic acid will do it) while giving skin an AM antioxidant boost. It wears beautifully under make-up too.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Tried a tubing mascara yet? Lab coat on because those polymers are coming out to play again – this time they wrap around your lashes to form little tubes of mascara that are less likely to smudge and/or rub off than regular formulas. Tubing mascaras are also much easier to remove than their waterproof counterparts and help lashes to hold their curl better. Indu’s take is designed with teens in mind, offering subtle, clean definition and lift that’s suitable for sensitive eyes, but there’s no reason the rest of us can’t take full advantage. It’s an excellent, affordable everyday mascara for understated make-up days. Sephora’s onto a winner here.</p>

<p>Lip masks were firmly in the ‘meh’ category until I discovered the original sheer version of this little pot of magic. Sephora has the exclusive on this peach-hued take, which I wear as a daytime balm rather than an overnight mask to save my sheets. It’s glossy without being gloopy and sinks in to leave lips soft with a low-key hint of colour. The tiny golden spade in the lid is intended for ultra-hygienic application which is a fancy touch that I tend to skip (a swipe with the ring finger will do) but it does turn an everyday habit into a quite the luxe ritual.</p>

<p>Sephora secured the exclusive on Selena Gomez’s debut fragrance when it launched in August, and the spicy, caramel-drizzled gourmand is worth queuing around the Westgate for (or simply add to your online basket now for ease). It’s the perfume Gomez got engaged in and we’re pretty 100% it would have been her wedding day fragrance last month too. Even her new husband Benny Blanco wears it – he was instrumental in its creation, apparently. A delicious blend of vanilla, sandalwood, cocoa and ginger, Gomez spent two years tweaking the composition to get it just right, and it’s certainly moreish. Mist on liberally this autumn and let the compliments roll in.</p>
