Just beyond can be found some of the most scenic areas in the country: the Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland and the Lake District, with picturesque market towns such as Settle and Skipton, which you can reach by train from the local station as well as by road.

Sports lovers can enjoy special stay and play rates at scenic Bentham Golf Course at the foot of the famous Three Peaks, overlooked by Wenningdale’s pods and lodges, while fishing is available in season at Riverside’s on-site lake and River Wenning. Scenic footpaths, waterfall trails, cycling routes, climbing and caving appeal to all ages and on clear nights, far from light pollution, star gazing shouldn’t be missed.

The 1922 clubhouse terrace provides a friendly 19^th hole, but you don’t need to be a golfer to call in at the bar, open year round, as well as for breakfasts, lunches, coffee and cake served from Fridays to Mondays until early October. Sunday roasts, pizza nights and quizzes are all popular.
