<p>All the gain, and no pain! The uplifting news is that Grantley Hall near Ripon has just launched an exclusive new wellness residency, one that concentrates on anti-ageing without painful procedures. <a href="https://www.grantleyhall.co.uk/whats-on/bloom-longevity-labs-with-dr-lubna/78-217/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bloom Longevity Labs</a>, in collaboration with Dr Lubna Khan-Salim, is the first of its kind in Yorkshire. On the first Wednesday of each month, guests can select from a range of non-invasive treatments at Three Graces Spa, designed to reverse the signs of growing any older. We’re in.</p>

<p>A new luxe wellness retreat in the secluded seaside resort of Sandsend is set to launch on <strong>14 Nov</strong>. <a href="https://saltmoore.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Saltmoore</a> is a stylish sanctuary nestled a shell’s throw from Whitby between the wild North Sea and the heather-draped moors. Formerly known as Raithwaite Hall, this unique getaway offers two hotels – Saltmoore House and The Beach House, with a total of 72 rooms, a state-of-the-art spa by Wildsmith and three dining venues overseen by Michelin-starred Chef Consultant Tommy Banks. A choice of sumptuous suites and coastal classics – many pet-friendly – means even your pooch can get pampered. Sand, sea and salt scrubs; sounds like Heaven.</p>

<p>The Michelin-starred <a href="https://angelhetton.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Angel at Hetton</a> has become the first restaurant in Yorkshire to be awarded five AA Rosettes. Like, wowsa. Muddy Yorkshire is feeling seriously proud! The highest accolade given by the AA Restaurant Guide is awarded for culinary excellence and marks it out as comparable with the world’s top restaurants. The Angel now joins an elite list of just 10 restaurants in the UK at the pinnacle of culinary excellence including <a href="https://thefatduck.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Fat Duck</a> at Bray, Berkshire and Raymond Blanc&#8217;s <a href="https://www.belmond.com/hotels/europe/uk/oxfordshire/belmond-le-manoir-aux-quat-saisons/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Le Manoir aux Quat&#8217;Saisons</a> in Oxfordshire. Chef owner Michael Wignall received the well-deserved honour at the AA guidebook&#8217;s annual hospitality awards. </p>

<p>The beauty of Yorkshire should be shouted about and, at last, a new destination management and marketing organisation Visit North Yorkshire has been established to drive forward tourism. It’s the first time that there has been a dedicated tourism body for the whole county, a tad surprising when it contributes £4 billion every year to the local economy and supports 38,000 jobs. Overseen by North Yorkshire Council, plans for 2025 include the launch of a new website, the publication of a countywide tourism guide and a campaign promoting North Yorkshire’s starring role on TV and in films (like Channel 5’s <em>All Creatures Great and Small</em> and <em>Harry Potter</em> movies).</p>

<p>We all have our favourite local Pizza Express so I bring tidings of great joy &#8211;  it&#8217;s brought back its festive Snowball Dough Balls. If you’ve yet to experience this delight, they’re basically a sweet version of the regular dough balls, covered in chocolate, sauce, cinnamon and icing sugar. They’ve just hit restaurants nationwide on the <a href="https://www.pizzaexpress.com/christmas" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Christmas menu</a>, but 19 Nov will be Snowball Dough Ball Day, when you can try these gooey treats for just £1. If that isn’t tempting enough, all the dough raised (give me a break!) will go to Pizza Express’ charity partner <a href="https://www.instagram.com/_place2be/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@_place2be</a>, which supports children’s mental health in schools around the UK. Doing good never tasted so great.</p>
