<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-hungry-of-harrogate-nbsp"><strong>Hungry of Harrogate&nbsp;</strong></h2>



<p>First up, Harrogate’s first ever Michelin-starred restaurant, FIFTY TWO at Rudding Park, is teaming up with cocktail bar <a href="https://fiftytworuddingpark.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Over &amp; Above</a> for a couple of cool collab events in June and August. Book soon ‘cos tickets will go fast. </p>

<p>Then we’ve got <a href="https://gails.com/pages/find-us?srsltid=AfmBOorLquaGojg_QTHywWU7eE9ckkFs21EwsMzH1cVquYJ-81fud-SL" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">GAIL’s Bakery</a> opening in Harrogate. Originally the preserve of leafy London, the chain has more than 150 stores UK-wide and now it’s hitting leafy Harrogate too. We can’t wait to add their pecan crumb cake to our daily commute. </p>



<p><a href="https://tapandtuktuk.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tap and Tuk Tuk</a> has opened in Harrogate, courtesy of business owner Neil Mendoza. The concept is classic British pub meets Asian street food. Best of all worlds if you ask us. And then <a href="https://www.rudyspizza.co.uk/location/harrogate/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana</a> is bringing its light Neapolitan‑style slices to the town, taking over the former Banyan Bar &amp; Restaurant on John Street. Since launching in 2015, Rudy’s has grown from one base in Manchester to 37 pizzerias nationwide. Benvenuta Rudy’s! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-lick-your-lips-in-leeds-nbsp"><strong>Lick your lips in Leeds&nbsp;</strong></h2>



<p>Yippee. Award-winning Indian restaurant <a href="https://mydelhieatery.com/locations/leeds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">My Delhi</a> is moving into Leeds city centre. This is the restaurant’s biggest opening to date, following popular spots in Newcastle, Leicester and Sunderland. </p>

<p>But elsewhere it’s taco time. <a href="https://www.thisismadre.co.uk/leeds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Madre</a> has opened at Wellington Place, doing relaxed lunches and lazy afternoons by day and cranking up into a lively Mexican restaurant by night. It joins its nearby sister spot Salon Madre, the tequila‑fuelled taqueria and sports hangout that arrived in the city earlier this year. Make a fiesta out of it. </p>

<p>And, more good news, what used to be The Reliance is being transformed into a new “social eatery”, <a href="https://www.thesmithfieldleeds.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Smithfield</a>, a collaboration between Leeds  chef James Donovan and craft beer brewery Crooked Brewing. We can’t wait to see what the much-missed Leeds pub will look like. And in other pub news &#8211; <a href="https://kirkstallbrewerytap.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kirkstall Brewery</a> has clinked glasses with street food kitchen Little Bao Boy on the City Taproom, which opened last month on Sovereign Street. </p>



<p>If you’re still thinking about pastries (shh, leave us in peace), you’ll be delighted to know that a little (blue) birdy tells us that award-winning sourdough bakery <a href="https://bluebirdbakery.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bluebird Bakery</a> has its eyes on a new space in Chapel Allerton. This is the Yorkshire brand’s seventh cafe and we’re very much here for it. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-sheffield-scran-nbsp"><strong>Sheffield scran&nbsp;</strong></h2>



<p>Over in Sheffield, <a href="https://www.forbicirestaurant.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Forbici</a> – another classic Neapolitan pizzeria &#8211; born in Manchester and already tipped as one of the city’s best – has landed. Expect proper blistered crusts and big Italian energy.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-ilkley-indulgence-nbsp"><strong>Ilkley indulgence&nbsp;</strong></h2>



<p>Cheese fiends, meanwhile, can head to Ilkley. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/wharfedalefinecheeses/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wharfedale Fine Cheeses</a> has opened in the town, showcasing artisan cheeses and local goodies from across the Dales. (Don’t forget, once you’ve scoffed all the cheese, <a href="https://ilkleyfoodfestival.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ilkley Food and Drink Festival</a> is back (June 13-14)).</p>



<p>Over in Kirbymoorside, <a href="https://theploughfadmoor.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Plough at Fadmoor</a> has teamed up with Cooper King Distillery to serve Yorkshire‑made house spirits, with up to £10 from each bottle going straight into the pub’s refurbishment fund. This follows the pub’s starring role in TV series <em>Our Yorkshire Pub Rescue with Jon Richardson</em> earlier this year.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-east-is-eat"><strong>East is eat</strong></h2>

Found inside the Lairgate Hotel, the restaurant from former Malton chef David Tait opened in March and has a seasonal British produce menu with foraged ingredients and an emphasis on clean, flavour-led dishes. Beverley’s historic Green Dragon pub has thrown open its doors again after a refurb. It’s got a fresh look but all the cosy, old‑school pub charm remains intact.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-and-finally-want-to-run-a-tv-famous-pub">And finally, <strong>want to run a TV‑famous pub?</strong></h2>



<p>If you’ve ever shouted “I could run that pub better” at the telly, this one’s for you. The Falcon Inn at Arncliffe in Littondale, best known as the original Woolpack in <em>Emmerdale</em>, is looking for its next tenant. The Grade II‑listed, stone‑built inn comes with a bar, tap room, restaurant and dining room, six letting bedrooms, a two‑bed cottage and even fly‑fishing rights. On the market with <a href="https://www.fleurets.com/insights/newswire/2026/april/original-emmerdale-woolpack-pub-to-let" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Fleurets</a>, have at it. </p>
