<p>The <a href="https://elsworthatthemill.co.uk/product/friday-17th-april-venetian-supper-club/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Venetian Supper Club</a>, in the gorgeous setting of Elsworth at the Mill in Skipton and made and introduced by chef Bruce Elsworth, is a voyage around five courses inspired by the Italian city’s cuisine. Soft truffled polenta, anyone? If Italian’s not your dish du jour, then pop along to the Portuguese food and wine pairing on <strong>Sun 26 Apr</strong> instead.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Let’s face it, all food tastes nice if you eat it in the surroundings of Bolton Abbey. But the <a href="https://boltonabbeyescapes.co.uk/event/the-fell-supper-club/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Fell Supper Club</a> takes it up a notch. For the first April supper club (<strong>Thurs 2 Apr</strong>), the clever chef has created a menu focusing on Asian flavours, including miso-glazed cod in a ginger broth and teriyaki chicken with charred tenderstem broccoli. There’s also live entertainment if gazing at the food starts to pall.</p>

<p>Over at the Robinsons Cafe in York, the monthly <a href="https://samphireandsage.com/product/bang-in-season-3/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samphire + Sage Bang In Season Supper Club </a>is led by chef Kevin Grafton and celebrates food from local suppliers. Sample bites include roast fillet of Whitby cod with braised courgettes and basil, and pink fir apple potato and green onion salad. <p>There might not be 12 bars (geddit?), but this <a href="https://www.pastellekitchen.co.uk/event-details/blues-night-supper-club-8" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">supper club</a> (<strong>Sat 18 Apr</strong>) comes with a side order of blues. The Pastelle Kitchen, from chef Nicole Fielding, is a sweet little hidden gem of a pop-up in York. Enjoy a two-course blind menu with curated cocktails against a quirky arty backdrop. If nineties acoustic is more your thing, there’s one right up your street on <strong>Fri 24 Apr.</strong></p>

<p>By day, the Broadfield in Sheffield is a friendly neighbourhood pub. But every month, the supper club transforms the upstairs room into a themed evening of culinary delights. Last month’s was a menu inspired by Francis Ford Coppola’s 1972 classic The Godfather, April’s (<strong>Wed 22 Apr</strong>) is intriguingly titled Salt, Smoke, and Lime: A journey through South America, and June’s is, well, it’s Wallace and Gromit themed. Proof that supper clubs aren’t just for people in pashminas. Fancy a bit of cheese, Gromit?</p>

<p>Eric’s over in Lindley has gained a reputation for its fine dining and locally sourced ingredients. Founder Eric Paxman worked under Marco Pierre White before travelling the world and it shows in the eclectic menu. Eric’s supper clubs also have an international bent. April kicks off with a <a href="https://www.ericsrestaurant.co.uk/events/nightinbangkok" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bavarian Tasting Experience</a> (<strong>Wed 1 Apr</strong>). Oh ja, bitte. Save us a slice of Sacher cake, would you, Eric? Or you could go all in and also go for A Night In New York (16 April) or A Night In Bangkok (<strong>23 Apr</strong>). BRB, we’re off to practise saying “cheesecake” in a Brooklyn accent.</p>
