<p>Let’s not mince our words: Yorkshire is having a moment. 2025 <a href="https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c208qrq2gq2o" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">was hailed</a> as the year that “Hollywood came to Yorkshire,” and as of 2026, we’re starting to see the fruits of its labour. Speak to Jacob Elordi, and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/DUZCdScDBCC/?utm_source=ig_embed" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">apparently, the sexiest things in Yorkshire</a> are “rocks and sheep.” We’ve dug a little deeper, though; Yorkshire has surprisingly deep-rooted connections with “the big screen.” Here are six Hollywood-worthy spots to visit across its counties. Who needs a red carpet when you have cobbles?</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-castle-howard-bridgerton-nbsp">Castle Howard – <em>Bridgerton</em>&nbsp;</h2>

<p>Binged the latest season of<em> Bridgerton</em> already? Same. As we eagerly await news of Season 5, there is an OG filming location to distract ourselves. Castle Howard <a href="https://www.castlehoward.co.uk/the-estate/location-filming/castle-howard-on-film/bridgerton" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">was used in Season 1</a> as “Clyvedon Castle.” Its Great Hall, Walled Garden, Archbishop’s Bedroom, and Temple of the Four Winds made appearances. After swooning over this <a href="https://yorkshire.muddystilettos.co.uk/home/property/georgian-house-for-sale-richmond-north-yorkshire-bridgerton/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><em>Bridgerton</em>-worthy home in North Yorkshire</a>, imagine coming face-to-face with the real thing. Tour Castle Howard’s grounds and take a peek at the afternoon teas, which can be enjoyed as a picnic in its gardens</p>

<p>Emerald Fennell&#8217;s recent <em>Wuthering Heights</em> remake had Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi dashing across the Yorkshire Dales. Waiting to hear the tea about <a href="https://yorkshire.muddystilettos.co.uk/things-to-do/film-tv/where-wuthering-heights-was-filmed-in-yorkshire/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">where <em>Wuthering Heights</em> was actually filmed</a>, though? The short answer is Arkengarthdale, a valley in the northernmost region of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Most of the action centred around Langthwaite, its largest village. Old Gang Smelt Mill Ruins, Booze Moor, and a (private) field along Bouldershaw Lane are all named filming locations. Ironically, producers skipped Haworth, aka the home of the Brontë sisters. Don’t make the same mistake; it’s worth the detour. Speaking of which…</p>

<p>Who hasn’t missed Cillian Murphy in a flat cap? There isn’t long to wait, as <a href="https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/peaky-blinders-the-immortal-man-release-date-photos-news" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><em>Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man</em></a> is out in cinemas from Fri 6 March and and hitting Netflix two weeks later (Fri 20 Mar). Take it back to Season 1, though, and as Grace and Tommy’s romance was steaming up, Keighley &amp; Worth Valley Railway made an appearance. As an armed Inspector Campbell waited for Grace on the platform, she shot him in the leg – sassily turning for a stone-faced getaway.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The Keighley &amp; Worth Valley Railway connects Haworth and Keighley (passing Oakworth, which is renowned as the main location in<em> The Railway Children)</em>. Start with a Blinders “blast-from-the-past” in Keighley, hop off at Oakworth, and then finish in Haworth – visiting the Brontë Parsonage and walking the cobbled main street.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-knaresborough-tinsel-town">Knaresborough – <em>Tinsel Town</em></h2>

<p>Last time you saw Knaresborough, it was probably covered in fake snow. Anything starring Rebel Wilson promises a giggle or two, and<em> Tinsel Town</em> was <a href="https://yorkshire.muddystilettos.co.uk/things-to-do/film-tv/first-look-at-star-studded-tinsel-town-filmed-right-here-in-yorkshire/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">a star-studded production filmed right here in Yorkshire</a>. Whoever destination-scouted Knaresborough did a great job, as the cobbled Castlegate streets and Green Dragon Yard looked stunning under twinkling lights.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Winter has almost been and gone, and this Hollywood-approved spot is warming up. Grab a coffee and Danish pastry from Nord Kaffe, hire a boat to row underneath Knaresborough Viaduct, and hunt down quintessential Englishness on its cobbled streets.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-skipton-harry-potter">Skipton – <em>Harry Potter</em></h2>

<p>Do you love or hate the idea of a new <em>Harry Potter </em>series? It’s a crowd-divider. Luckily, we have a little longer to adjust to the reality of a  “Hogwarts sans Daniel Radcliffe,” as the series isn’t set to release early 2027. That said, in Skipton, filming has disturbed some of us mere “muggles.” Residential Westmoreland Street and Belmont Wharf, a scenic dock for canal trips, are two sites confirmed to appear on the screen. Perhaps a Skipton day trip is on the cards.</p>



<p>All this talk of Hogwarts is enough to send anyone down memory lane. OG fans might prefer to check out Malham Cove (which appears in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) or Goathland Station (aka Hogsmeade Station).</p>

<p>Netflix is a magpie for period architecture. <em>House of Guinness</em> was <a href="https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/house-of-guinness-photos-release-date-news" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">released last September</a>, bringing that <em>Peaky Blinders</em>-style grit that we’d all been missing. “St. Anne’s Estate” was a standout location, and funnily enough, it’s one of our own: Broughton Hall Estate, North Yorkshire. Recently rechristened as “<a href="https://welcome.broughtonsanctuary.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Broughton Sanctuary</a>,” you can walk its grounds or book an overnight stay.&nbsp;</p>
