Hold onto your tiaras, darlings as Harewood House is about to host the most fabulously extra Christmas Yorkshire’s ever seen. This year’s theme, A Glittering Invitation: Harewood’s Grand Christmas Ball, is a Regency-inspired spectacular that would make Lady Whistledown herself drop her quill.

Expect full-on opulence with a 21st-century twist as Harewood teams up with creative powerhouse Siobhan Murphy, digital artist Tom Le Bon, and BOSUN Studio to turn the grand rooms into a multi-sensory feast of gossip, glamour and grit. We’re talking shimmering digital projections, a swirling soundscape of music and murmurs, and enough sparkle to make the ton blush.

The Entrance Hall sets the tone with an 18ft ombré Christmas tree made from 700 recycled ballerina tutus and over 300 pairs of English National Ballet pointe shoes (yes, really). Elsewhere, golden instruments, feathers and couture ballgowns meet Marie Antoinette-inspired table settings, macaron towers and bejewelled swans in what is pure maximalist heaven.

And as for the grown-ups? Expect swoon-worthy scents courtesy of DOME, Harewood’s official Christmas fragrance partner, and some serious sensory indulgence.
